Remember this guy?

It is António Alves Martins, O.F.M., bishop of Viseu, Portugal from 1862 to 1882, who was already presented in an earlier post, wearing pretty much what you see here. But it was neither a caricature nor was it in color. This is why I found this picture interesting. Apparently stockings and collar of this specific dress were red-/purple-ish.
