Rouen

Two nice photos from Rouen, France. The first one shows the cathedral chapter. The second one shows Cardinal Sourrieu, archbishop of Rouen from 1882 to 1899. As you can tell, the photos are very old!

Many thanks to reader Rip, who sent in some amazing photos from the 16th anniversary of the coronation of Pope Pius XI. Here is what he has to say:

I came across some photos from the fondo Giordani collections. If you find them interesting, you may be able to publish them..
They were taken during a Pontifical Mass in Capella Sistina on February 12, 1938 in occassion of Pius XI 16th anniversary from his coronation. The Holy Mass was celebrated by Giovanni Battista Cardinal Nasalli Rocca di Corneliano, Archbishop of Bologna, Italy.
