My Grandfather said that when he was at Ampleforth Abbey's College (1945-1950) that the job all the altar boy's wanted was carrying the Abbot's cappa magna train. The boy who did it was dressed in full "Spanish Dress" like the chamberlains at the Vatican. :-)
